Frederic is a Partner with over 30 years of experience in global financial services, specializing in asset management, funds and wealth management across both buy-side and sell-side contexts. He provides comprehensive advisory services on fund formation and product structuring of public and private funds, notably to private equity and venture capital firms and family offices in Asia and Europe.

Frederic brings a blend of Big Law training, senior in-house leadership and advisory experience to his practice. He began his career as an attorney at Linklaters in Luxembourg, advising on banking and asset management and subsequently held senior legal and compliance leadership roles within global financial institutions, including serving as Head of Legal and Compliance at The Bank of New York Mellon in Luxembourg and as Legal and Compliance Director at Eastspring Investments in Singapore.

During a decade at Eastspring Investments, Frederic oversaw the establishment and management of investment companies, unit trusts, limited partnerships and separately managed accounts in Singapore, Luxembourg and Cayman.  He supported the distribution of financial products across key Asian markets. His experience spans the full product lifecycle, from structuring and documentation to regulatory approvals, governance and ongoing compliance. He has advised on the management of traditional and alternative asset classes and negotiated asset-related transactions, custody, financing and investment agreements under both common law and civil law regimes.

In Singapore, Frederic has assisted companies to obtain fund management and dealing in capital markets products licenses, designed and implemented compliance architectures, conducted regulatory audits and engaged extensively with applicable regulators. He has also supported start-ups through incubation, fundraising and commercial structuring.

Frederic is qualified as an attorney at law in Luxembourg, holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center and a degree in European Tax Law from ICHEC Management School in Brussels.
